Landlords have the right to receive rent, inspect your property, as well as ensuring that it is well maintained. Tenants have the right to decent living conditions, privacy and also the right to be informed of any changes. As a tenant, ensure that you read the agreement well before signing it.

The tenants rights include: 1. Right to privacy. Landlords should not enter into tenants premises unless it is an emergency.
2. Right to fair rent (based on mutual agreement).
3. Right to habitable premises. The property should meet certain standards of cleanliness and safety.
