Section 45 of The Children Act CAP 141: Vacancy of office of chairperson and members

    

(1) The office of the Chairperson or member of the Council shall become vacantif the holder— (a) dies;
(b) resigns from office by notice in writing addressed to the respective appointing Authority specified in section 41; or
(c) is removed from office under any of the circumstances specified in Chapter Six of the Constitution.
(2) Where a vacancy occurs in the office of Chairperson or member of theCouncil, the appointing authority shall fill the vacancy within sixty days next following the notification of vacancy referred to in subsection (1).
(3) A member appointed under subsection (2) to fill a vacancy shall serve for the respective term specified in section 44.
