Section 66 of The Children Act CAP 141: Manager and Staff of Charitable Children’s Institution

    

(1) A person operating a Charitable Children’s Institution shall appoint or designate−
(a) a duly qualified person as the manager of the institution; and
(b) a sufficient number of staff or other appropriate personnel to assist in the administration of the institution.
(2) A person is qualified for appointment or designation as manager of aCharitable Children’s Institution if the person has—
(a) a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Social Sciences from a university or other training institution recognized in Kenya;
(b) a valid certificate issued by the relevant body certifying that there are no pending criminal investigations against the person or convictions for the offences under the Third Schedule; and
(c) at least three years working experience in an institution involved in the field of social services.
