Section 236 of The Companies Act No. 17 of 2015: Registrar to establish and maintain Register of foreign restrictions

    

(1) The Registrar shall establish and maintain a register of foreign restrictionsin which the Registrar shall enter particulars of foreign restrictions relating to a persons who is or may become a director or secretary of a Kenyan company or a local representative of a registered foreign company.
(2) On becoming aware that a person is or may be a person who is or may become a director or secretary of a Kenyan company or a local representative of a registered foreign company, the Registrar shall enter in the register particulars of, and of the foreign restrictions relating to, the person.
(3) On becoming aware that foreign restrictions recorded in the register inrespect of a person have ceased to apply to the person, the Registrar shall cancel the entry and all particulars relating to it.
(4) The Registrar shall keep the register required by this section open for inspection by members of the public on payment of the prescribed fee (if any).
