Section 251 of The Companies Act No. 17 of 2015: What particulars of secretaries are required to be registered: corporate secretaries and firms

    

(1) If the secretary of a public company is a company or a firm, the companyshall ensure that its register of secretaries contains the following particulars—
(a) the name of the company or the firm;
(b) the registered or principal office of the company or the firm;
(c) the legal form of the company or firm and the law by which it is governed; and
(d) in the case of a company or a firm that is incorporated, register in which it is recorded (including the place where the register is kept) and its registration number in the register.
(2) If all the partners in a firm are joint secretaries, it is sufficient to state theparticulars that would be required if the firm were a legal person and the firm had been appointed secretary.
(3) The regulations may provide for the addition or removal of particulars required to be contained in a public company's register of secretaries.
