Section 284 of The Companies Act No. 17 of 2015: Persons entitled to receive notice of general meetings
(1) A company shall send a notice of a general meeting of the company to—(a) each member of the company; and (b) each director.
(2) In subsection (1), the reference to a member includes any person who isentitled to a share in consequence of the death or bankruptcy of a member, if the company has been notified of their entitlement.
(3) In subsection (2), the reference to the bankruptcy of a member includes thesequestration of the estate of a member.
(4) This section has effect subject to—
(a) any written law; and
(b) any provision of the company's articles to the contrary.
