Section 576 of The Companies Act No. 17 of 2015: Register of debenture holders: offences in connection with request for or disclosure of information

    

(1) A person who makes a request under section 574 (2) knowing that therequest contains information that is false or misleading in a material respect commits an offence.
(2) A person who is in possession of information obtained by exercising eitherof the rights conferred by section 574 commits an offence if the person—
(a) acts in a way that results in the information being disclosed to another person; or
(b) fails to take reasonable action to prevent the information from being disclosed to another person, knowing, or having reason to suspect, that the other person may use the information for an improper purpose.
(3) A person found guilty of an offence under subsection (1) or (2) is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding five hundred thousand shillings.
