Section 136 of County Governments Act: First sitting of the county assembly

    

(1) The first sitting of a county assembly after the first election under theConstitution, shall take place at a time, place and date determined by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, which date shall not be later than fourteen days after the results of the elections have been gazetted.
(2) The Chief Justice shall designate for each county a judge to swear in the members and the speaker elected at the meeting under subsection (1).
